yacib Portable Mp3 is a useful freeware for those users who would like to reduce the size of

mp3 files, (or convert other file types to mp3 (Portable or Advanced Mode), * see supported

file types). Store more music , audio books , ringtones , on your mp3 device (mp3 player,

mobile phone?), or reduce web traffic, etc..

1. Portable Mode

User can choose from 8 ?Portable Mode? presets.

a.) VBR(4) = Low, Medium, Good and High

b.) CBR(4) = Low, Medium, Good and High

little loss of quality)

2. Advanced Mode.

a.) VBR - 10 compression levels (0 Highest ? 9 Lowest) defined by Lame.

b.) CBR - 14 Bit Rates: 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256, 320(kbps).

4. Tags

a. ) Read

MPEG(mp1, mp2, mp3): ID3v1, ID3v2.2, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4 ASF(wma): WMA

b.) Write

The software can write ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags, with ISO-8859-1 and UTF-16 text encoding.

Version of ID3v2: ID3v2.2, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4

Text ecoding (ID3v2): ISO-8859-1, UTF-16.

The ID3 tag can be edited (Output Only) by DataGrid.
